Scottsdale Culinary Festival! In 1975, when Cathy started Cathy's Rum Cake Caterers in Chandler - She set her sights on having
a store in Scottsdale and being part of the community. Why? An avid traveler, she thought of Scottsdale being like New York
City - If could make in Scottsdale - She Could Make It Anywhere! And Make It She Did! For 27 years, Cathy had her successful store on N. Marshall Way, before she merged her resources
to the Chandler, Cake, Tea and Catering Villa, while still Cathy Bua’s awards include the Arizona Culinary Institute’s
Hall of Fame Award 1995, followed by its Lifetime Achievement Award 2003. She was named Best Caterer by Phoenix Magazine in
2002, 2004 and 2005. Her company earned the Best
Cake Award by the New Times Best of Phoenix Awards 2007. She was named Phoenix Home & Garden’s Master of the Southwest
1999. Cathy Bua and her team, which includes son Bennie Bua, have created cakes and catering for such luminaries as Sandra
Day O’Connor, Dr. & Mrs. Robert Spetzler, Fife & Ann Symington, Earnhardt Ford, John McCain, Cher, Burch &
