The Story Of Cathy's Royal Crown Rum Cakes

What's inspiration? It's taking something from nothing and creating something so exquisite that it endures beyond the images of a digital photo. We feel that "something" is Cathy's Rum Cake Caterers New Line Of Royal, Signature Crown Rum Cakes. - It happened on a very, special birthday trip for Cathy's daughter-in-law and in-house stylist Cindy Bua on Coronado Island at the Famous Hotel Del Coronado. At Champagne Brunch In The Crown Room, Cindy became intrigued by the four huge, Crown Chandeliers hanging directly overhead.  

Entranced by the Crown Chandeliers, Cindy mused: "There's something very special about these chandeliers, as if there's a wonderful story behind them."

There was! Cindy spoke to a very sweet shopkeeper, Pamela at the 1888 Boutique. She informed us that the Crown Chandeliers were designed and built by the author of "The Wizard Of Oz", L. Frank Baum. Baum loved the Hotel Del Coronado; lived there for awhile, and told stories to children on the steps of the Hotel Del every Friday. He wrote a series of books about Dorothy; Toto; The Wicked Witch; The Wizard, and the whole ethereal granduer of Oz at this splendid resort. But, the writer never felt that the Crown Room felt regal enough to bear its name. So, out of love for the Hotel Del Coronado, L. Frank Baum designed, built and donated the Regal and Superb Crown Chandeliers to enhance The Crown Room. Whimsical Magic? We Think So!

The Inspiration was realized shortly when Cindy took her "Crown Rum Cake" ideas to Cathy, and her Master, Artist Rob. Between the two, there is 54 Years Experience designing Rum Cakes for Cathy's Rum Cake Caterers! Just as L. Frank Baum took his love and care and made something wonderful; so did Cathy, Rob and Cindy take their love and care for the Rum Cake and created something absolutely Magic! When you look beyond the form and feel the love for something - there it is - that Whimsical Magic of Cathy's Rum Cake Caterers! So, we all thank you Cindy, Cathy, Rob and Mr. Baum (Wherever Your Are!) for creating something special and very magical!
